(Final) Assignment 7: Set of 5 Greeting Cards, Presentation!

Presenting, my sweet pun greeting cards (in neon colours)!

The criticism that I received was that the typography could be improved. Ms. Lisa said that some letters looked weird. "Thanks for" looks like "thanks bor", she said. Oops! Planning, placement, and composition is important, I have to keep reminding myself.

That said, I am still quite happy that I managed to finish these greeting cards. It really does resemble me in my opinion, since it involves my two favourite things, food and puns!

Thus concludes my last assignment, and my last post for this blog. I've learnt a lot, and it's been fun! See you <3

Assignment 7: Set of 5 Greeting Cards, Progress

Progress shots!

The messy workspace.

Got my materials ready; pencils, papers, knife and ruler!

I started by folding the card bases using watercolour paper.

Once I had my base, I drew the illustrations on a separate piece of paper before sticking them onto the cards.

Sketching,

Inking,

..And colouring!

Using highlighters to colour in /outside/ of the drawings.

It's pretty much the same process for the rest of the cards.

The illustrations, before I pasted them onto the cards.

Sneak preview of the cards!
